Thanks to everyone who expressed an interest in participating in the New Faculty Community of Practice get-together. It was a challenge to find a time and format that works for everyone, but we did arrive at the following, so please ‘Save the Date’ for these New Faculty Community of Practice meetings:
-
Friday, March 24 – 10:30am via Zoom - Topic - Classroom Technology
-
Wednesday, April 19th - 4pm - Format and Topic (TBD)
We are planning to talk to Judd Hark, the CITL Learning Spaces Team Manager, for the first session on March 24. Judd has been working with faculty as an instructional technologist at Lehigh for many years, as well as managing classroom technology. Judd and his team have been hard at work upgrading many, many classrooms since the shift from all-remote to back on-campus. He will have strategies for multi-modal teaching, as well as how to get help when needed. Judd is an amazing resource for making sure your classroom technology aligns with your teaching. We’ll also get your input on the meeting format and topic for the April 19 session.
These sessions are meant to foster discussion and sharing, so we won’t be recording but will happily share any resources in the New Faculty Community of Practice Slack channel or via email. We look forward to connecting with you all!
