CITL Digital Scholarship Faculty Fellowship 2020/21
The 2020/21 Digital Scholarship Faculty Fellowship provides $5,000 to full-time faculty (of any rank) who desire to plan, design, and implement a digital humanities project that employs new research methods or new ways of interrogating or representing his or her research.
With the assistance of the Center for Innovation in Teaching and Learning (CITL), faculty will evaluate and select appropriate digital scholarship tools and technologies such as data or geospatial visualization, audio/video production, aerial photography and analysis, virtual reality, etc. CITL staff will then partner with faculty to collaboratively develop a digital humanities project.
Fellowship funding and CITL staff collaboration will begin in the summer of 2020, with a proof-of-concept and anticipated course integration by December 2021. Fellows will be expected to present their work-to-date at the campus-wide Symposium on Teaching and Learning in the Spring of 2021.
The Fellowship can support undergraduate/graduate assistants and/or one-time funding of software. The Fellowship does not support the following: creation or conversion of a scholarly journal, conferences or professional meetings, travel, acquisition of computer equipment, preparation or publication of articles or textbooks, or currently funded projects at Lehigh.
The Fellow is responsible for making release time arrangements with their department and any disbursements of payments from their discretionary fund to pay undergrad or graduate students.
Please note: faculty and staff evaluating your proposal may be unfamiliar with your discipline, so please complete your application with this audience in mind.
Applications accepted 10/28/19 through midnight 12/20/19.
